On my desk…

Posted in: My Work

My desk has been a very crowded and scary busy space for the last few weeks.  Lily and I are in full work mode, from morning to late night. The to-do-list is long!  I’m working on finishing up designs for two homes this week and all the details that entails. And I’m starting two more this week as well.  It’s a constant design marathon!  We’re also preparing hundreds of products for another  J & M event with some of my private label. And apologies to a bunch of customers who are waiting for bedding orders. The manufacturer switched warehouses and orders are a week behind!  Thank You for your patience! Starting July 15th, we will carry the bedding in stock with overnight delivery available.

Here are some items on my desk today….

Love this yellow large ikat fabric from Duralee.

yep, another picture because it’s fun and large.

Some cool grays and blacks from Robert Allen.

A few Quadrille and Kelly Wearstler fabrics for a Georgetown house….

These are a couple of fabrics from two of the guest bedrooms.

Lily holding up fabrics so we can send images to out of town client.

Forgot how much I like Windsor Smith fabrics. She is a design genius.

And a pile of blues and yellows for a client….

..can’t wait to see some of this come together.

And ooops!  You don’t want to see the corner of my desk via the mirror…

And Lily on the phone going through a million documents.

As I said it’s been hectic….

But it’s all under control…

…most of the time.

I love, love, love the large ikat in yellow by Duralee. I have two yellow couches in my living room, plus a wing back chair that would look fabulous in the ikat! I need to keep it in mind! Actually, I loved all the fabrics you showed. Thanks!

Putting together the fabrics is the best part of starting the design plan! Candy store fun! I have been eying those large ikats fron Duralee!
