Colorful Bedding shoot and some cool news

Share This:

This week it was photography time for my bedding line with Swedish photographer Anna Maria Noellert in LA. It’s been a long time since we properly photographed it, (not even the new designs!), since we’ve been super busy with interior design clients. This fall I decided to slow down our client work so we can focus on improving the brand in every way possible.

The bedding is super cute and has amazing quality and I was happy that I still felt it really fulfills the purpose I aimed for when I started the line. (Above is a sneak peak of the new design coming soon called VICTORY to the left and two of the happiest versions of TAKES TWO.

The purpose of the bedding was to make decorating easy. I wanted a bed set to add all the design element needed in a bedroom. This way you people would not fret about how to decorate and not have to spend money on unnecessary things.

This is the Takes Two pattern in a few of the colorways. I combined two colors that I would design a room in.

It’s an Art Deco inspired pattern which is one of my favorite design styles.

Shooting bedding is definitely not the easiest thing because of the endless ironing!

Thankfully Sury stepped in to help out.

We collaborated with another Swede Jennifer who has the super clever and adorable company Bag-All who make reusable and organizing bags.

With the purchase of a duvet set and shams we will now be able to send our customers this super cute bag along with it. It will also be perfect to reuse as a casual bag or reusable grocery bag which is the concept behind Bag-all to reuse.

Now onto the cool news..

Comfort is key and a headboard adds the perfect create comfort for your back and head when reading, watching television or working (who doesn’t?) in bed.  They also add a cool design element as well as a focal point in the room.

To make these headboards even more perfect I would add the bedding below. The retro colorways and shapes would be dreamy together with the fresh hotel bedding. The pink with the gray bedding, the forest green heaboards with the powder pink. Really any of the headboards above mix and match with this bedding.

My TOP 10 Modern Rustic Nightstands

Share This:

Adding touches of reclaimed wood or distressed wood in a home is a design style I love of late.

There is no surprise that the modern farm house was voted one of the most popular design looks of 2016. Surrounding your self with reclaimed woods gives your space an instant cozy feel.

Here I’ve picked out my top ten modern farmhouse nightstands, from inexpensive to fairly affordable.

Do you like this look?

My TOP 10 Kitchen pendant picks

Share This:

One of the fastest and most affordable ways to refresh a kitchen is switching out those tired kitchen lights for some modern beauties. Whether you’re doing a complete kitchen overhaul or just new cabinet paint, adding well proportioned pendants over an island in just the right finish can give a kitchen en entirely new look.

My current favorites are brass, gold, structural and wire.  I’m also a fan of over sized globe and cone lights, and in just the right setting basket weave can be just the perfect touch.

TOP 6 irresistible light fixtures!

Share This:

I’m in the midst of sourcing for some new big projects.  I’m currently obsessing over modern, mid century inspired, gold, black and straight cut crystal light fixtures.

Here are my TOP 6 irresistible gold light fixture picks that I want to use in just about every project (including my own).   Use them in a transitional interior or even an industrial farm house look, they are bound to add a dose of elegant cool.  These don’t have the friendliest price tag but if you can it’s worth splurging on at least one great designer light fixture in the most used room in the home.
